Robbie's No Little 'Angel'
Robbie Williams is making his comeback to the British spotlight after living in America.. by donning a dress for charity..
'The Angels singer said he couldn't say no to the Little Britain sketch, which also stars David Walliams and Matt Lucas.
"It's hard to say no when asked to take part in a Little Britain sketch for Comic Relief," said the chart star. "But I have to admit that dressing up as a small American child in a pretty dress made it all the more appealing."
Robbie plays Candy Marie-Candy, a friend of Ellie Grace (Matt Lucas) who is on a sleepover. While mom (David Walliams) is cooking breakfast they begin to play a game of "I love you more..." - with some interesting results.
Walliams said: "Robbie was absolutely brilliant in the Ellie Grace sketch. He could be a comedian full-time if he wanted to.
"And we have found that the best way to tempt him back into the spotlight is by putting him in a dress!"
Lucas added: "I never thought Robbie would do anything funnier than Angels but he has!"
Another special sketch involves Catherine Tate. It sees Carol (Walliams) summoned to her boss Dawn's (Tate) office. Will Carol keep her job or will Dawn's computer evaluation of her skills lead to the immortal line: "Computer says no."
The sketches will be shown on BBC One on Friday from 7pm.'
